Colbert Low
Colbert is the first Certified Bitcoin Professional in Malaysia, by the international standards governing body, Cryptocurrency Certification Consortium (C4). He is the Founder of BitcoinMalaysia.com, the largest local private membership club for bitcoin since 2013, and has been featured in various mastheads including Business Times Singapore, Inc. Southeast Asia, and The Edge. Colbert headed the Malaysian operations of bitcoin exchange BitX, now Luno, from 2014 until 2016, before moving on to his current role as Advisor to Bloktex, the state-backed vehicle to drive blockchain innovation, and to the global Decentralized Escrow Project. He also serves as Vice Secretary of Access Blockchain Malaysia, the industry association that interfaces regulatory authorities.
Edmund Yong
Edmund has held several senior management roles, as the former Director of a Fortune 500 company for Big Data overseeing Asia Pacific region, and General Manager of the dominant credit reporting bureau in Malaysia. Prior to this, he cut his teeth in finance for over a decade, where he last headed an unsecured lending arm of a sovereign fund-owned bank as Senior Vice President. Edmund has led several industry-first solutions, on fintech and e-delivery, which are honored with dozens of international awards for product innovation, campaign effectiveness, and service excellence; and empirically verified with market leadership results. He is professionally certified in CFPI®, PDCA® and Six Sigma® methodologies for Total Quality Management (TQM).
Caleb Lau
Lead Developer
Caleb is a senior software analyst cum engineer for a global software provider for trust and corporate services, including fiduciary and fund administration for international corporations. He is adept in project management, software development in .NET and MSSQL platform, and customer advocacy with exposure to clients from multiple jurisdictional background. Caleb has successfully implemented projects for outfits in Ireland, Switzerland, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Hong Kong and Curaçao, as technical analyst or data migration specialist. Crypto-wise, he is well versed with the Ethereum ecosystem (Geth, Parity, TestRPC, Truffle) to develop smart contracts and dApps, with a keen eye for multi-blockchain solutions like Hyperledger and NEM.
Jason Chew
Administration Manager
Jason is the Administration Manager at Celebrus Advisory. Jason comes from the energy sector, running a renewable energy company for 8 years that services over $42 million of solar powered homes, factories and farms in Malaysia. In addition, Jason is also experienced in digital advertising, social media marketing in the crowdfunding space and has helped raised $10 million of private funds to startup a private villa rental business and eco hotel in Malaysia. Today, Jason is pursuing to combine blockchain and green technology to develop new solutions to tackle global warming, promote environmental awareness, interest and activism.
Alex Lee
Project Manager
Alex co-founded Transcendz, a marketing company for FinTech, Business/Entrepreneurship and Investment. He has organized small to large events and run marketing campaigns for clients in these industries. Alex designs and implement the process framework within the organization in the areas of events management, digital media management, human resource, finance, sales and marketing. Alex’s primary experience and skills includes business analysis planning and monitoring; requirements gathering, analysis, management, and communication; business process and operations; and change management. Previously, Alex was a management consultant with Accenture who is involved in the analysis and development of transformational business models and implementation of new systems. He has helped multinational clients integrate and operate the new business models and systems.
Gan Ming Chiek

Gan is a corporate and M&A lawyer whose principal areas of practice include local and cross-border mergers & acquisitions (M&A), corporate joint ventures, corporate and regulatory advisory for foreign direct investment, ASEAN based private equity and venture capital M&A transactions, investment assets acquisition and divestment, real estate development projects, foreign and local IPOs of Malaysian corporations, private fund-raising exercises and corporate governance matters. Gan has a strong passion for designing and structuring tax-efficient deals that facilitate his clients’ M&A transactions. His career in M&A sphere has given him the opportunity to work on several notable corporate M&A transactions in Malaysia, in particular, M&A transactions involving the property development, manufacturing, bereavement care, assets management, energy, healthcare, entertainment, technology, F&Bs and distributive trade industries. Prior to founding his own law firm, Ng, Gan & Partners in 2016, Gan worked as a Corporate M&A lawyer in Rahmat Lim & Partners (associated with Allen & Gledhill of Singapore), a tier one corporate transactions focused law firm in Malaysia, and as a corporate & commercial lawyer in Mah-Kamariyah & Philip Koh, both of which regularly advise on many of the nation’s largest and most high-profile transactions.
Edwin Lee

Edwin is a corporate, commercial and technology partner at Chia, Lee Associates. Prior to this, Edwin was a senior associate in the corporate M&A, technology, media and telecommunications as well as competition practice group at Christopher & Lee Ong, one of the largest law firms in Malaysia (an associate firm of Rajah Tann Singapore LLP). He was also an Intellectual Property lawyer specialising in trade mark, passing off, domain name, confidential information, patent, design and copyright contentious and non-contentious matters at SKRINE (also a top tier law firm in Malaysia). Edwin's experience includes advising multinational companies, e-commerce platforms and technology start-ups on mergers and acquisitions, corporate structures, competition law, foreign investments in Malaysia, general corporate, commercial and employment issues, e-commerce and online payment systems as well as data protection and privacy matters. With his past experiences working in large corporate law firms, Edwin focuses on producing “big firm work product, but without all the bells and whistles”. He believes in giving practical, business-oriented solutions. He'd like to think that he is a deal-maker, not a deal-breaker. Edwin helps his clients to focus on the big picture, to understand what they are really trying to do, and not get bogged down with the minutiae that could kill the deal.
Kathy Yap
Compliance Advisor
Kathleen has 30 years experience in financial services organisations and held senior compliance position in two Southeast Asian banks for 10 years, as Vice President and Head of Compliance Department. Additionally, she has also held various positions in sales support function, senior relationship management and compliance management function in a multinational bank for about 20 years. Her experience encompassed the setting up of compliance department and effectively implemented the regulatory and anti-money laundering/counter financing of terrorism (AML/CFT) compliance program within the banks, re-engineered business processes, structured integrated remuneration for sales staff and conducted training for senior management and bank staff on regulatory compliance, AML/CFT and financial crime risks in trade finance, personal data protection, foreign exchange administration rules, etc. In addition to being a compliance person, she believes in customer-centric approach to regulatory compliance where the approach was proven to be effective by winning the GEMS Award in 2013 for delivery of customer experience excellence.
