Co-Founder

Edmund has held several senior management roles, as the former Asia Pacific Director for a big data and blockchain-powered company on the Fortune Global 500, and General Manager of a dominant credit reporting bureau. Prior to this, he cut his teeth in finance for over a decade, where he last headed an unsecured lending arm of a sovereign fund-owned bank as Senior Vice President. He has led several industry-first and market-leading solutions on fintech, risk scoring, and e-delivery, which are honoured with dozens of international awards for product innovation. His career has spanned three continents, and is professionally certified in CFPI® , PDCA® and Six Sigma® Black Belt methodologies for Total Quality Management (TQM), with four academic degrees (including LLB and MBA).

Caleb Lau
Lead Developer

Caleb has his background as a senior software analyst cum engineer for a global software provider for trust and corporate services, including fiduciary and fund administration for international corporations. He has successfully implemented projects for outfits in Ireland, Switzerland, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Hong Kong and Curaçao, as technical analyst or data migration specialist, utilising software stacks from the .NET and MSSQL ecosystem. For Celebrus, he is focused on Ethereum related development, involving smart contract development with Solidity and Vyper using Nethereum - an open source .NET library for Ethereum. Other areas of involvement and interests are smart contract security and blockchain scalability.

Alex Lee

Alex was a management consultant in a Fortune Global 500 management consulting and professional services firm, specializing in the analysis, development, integration and operation of new business models and systems, as well as design and implementation of organizational process frameworks. As a Business Analyst professional, CCBA®, he is well positioned to bridge the gap between business and technical divide via requirements gathering, analysis, and communication, and change management. He also co-founded Transcendz, providing marketing and sales services to speakers and trainers on programs related to FinTech, Business / Entrepreneurship and Initial Coin Offerings (ICO). Alex manages ICO projects and provide bespoke marketing advisory on best practices.

Colbert Low
Senior Advisor
Colbert is the first Certified Bitcoin Professional in Malaysia, by the international standards governing body, Cryptocurrency Certification Consortium (C4). He is the Founder of BitcoinMalaysia.com, the largest local private membership club for bitcoin since 2013, and has been featured in various mastheads including Business Times Singapore, Inc. Southeast Asia, and The Edge. Colbert headed the Malaysian operations of bitcoin exchange BitX, now Luno, from 2014 until 2016, before moving on to his current role as Advisor to Bloktex, the state-backed vehicle to drive blockchain innovation, and to the global Decentralized Escrow Project. He also serves as Vice Secretary of Access Blockchain Malaysia, the industry association that interfaces regulatory authorities.

Gan Ming Chiek

Ming Chiek is a corporate, mergers & acquisitions (M&A) lawyer who has extensive experience in local and cross-border M&A, foreign direct investment, ASEAN based private equity and venture capital transactions and corporate structuring matters. Apart from his conventional legal practices, Ming Chiek has since early 2017 ventured into the blockchain scene and has advised a number of international blockchain projects in Singapore, Malta and Gibraltar. Through involvement in these projects, he has established a wide network of local and foreign partners from these crypto valleys. Prior to this, he practiced with tier one corporate-focused law firms which regularly advise on many of the nation’s largest and most high-profile transactions.

Fabien Bouhier
Tech Advisor
Digital Architect by day working on Blockchain, Smart Contracts and IoTs, a Quantum Physics enthusiast by night. After 10 years across Asia within the media industry, Fabien decided to leave his last job at Google to become an entrepreneur to consult for companies. Scientific research is part of Fabien’s interests. After receiving a Certificate of Completion in Quantum Mechanics and Computation from BerkeleyX, he won the “Try Zero G” contest organized by the Malaysian National Space Agency and the Ministry of Science, Technology & Innovation. His experiment titled “Growing Bubble in a Glass of Water” has been performed in the International Space Station by JAXA’s (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency) astronaut Koichi Wakata, in zero gravity conditions and was presented at TEDxKL in 2014.
Kathy Yap

Kathleen has 30 years experience in financial services organisations and held senior compliance position in two Southeast Asian banks for 10 years, as Vice President and Head of Compliance. Additionally, she has also held various positions in sales support, senior relationship management and compliance management in one of the largest global multinational banks for about 20 years. Her experience encompassed the effective implementation of regulatory and anti-money laundering/counter financing of terrorism (AML/CFT) compliance program within banks, business process reengineering, structured integrated remuneration for sales staff, and training of senior management. She is winner of the GEMS Award in 2013 for delivery of customer experience excellence.

Kevin Koo

Managing partner of Koo Chin Nam & Co., a law firm based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and also cofounder of Lex Futurus, an international decentralized legal advisory firm for blockchain registered in Russia, Kevin has acted as legal advisor for CoinBene, a leading global crypto exchange, and several ICOs. In his day-to-day legal practice, he handles court litigation with a wide range of experience in all manner of cases including debt collection, criminal work (causing injury and drug), conflict of laws (constitutional), industrial court work, land disputes, contentious probate, copyright enforcement, appeal to appellate courts, etc. He holds an LLM from Universiti Malaya and a Master of Management from Universiti Tun Abdul Razak.

 

Edwin Lee

Edwin is a corporate, commercial and technology partner at GLT Law. Prior to this, Edwin was a senior associate in the corporate M&A, technology, media and telecommunications as well as competition practice group at Christopher & Lee Ong, one of the largest law firms in Malaysia (an associate firm of Rajah Tann Singapore LLP). He was also an Intellectual Property lawyer specialising in trademarks, passing off, domain name, confidential information, patent, design and copyright contentious and non-contentious matters at SKRINE (also a top tier law firm in Malaysia). With his past experiences working in large corporate law firms, Edwin focuses on producing “big firm work product, but without all the bells and whistles”.
 

Kevin Wong
Senior Developer

Kevin is a web application developer and a blockchain technology enthusiast. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering in 2014 from the USA. He worked on multiple sales systems and CRM systems for his clients, including hybrid mobile applications and the APIs required for them. His experiences taught him how to create user centric mobile responsive applications on the frontend, while adhering to sound software design patterns and best practices in the backend. He spends his time now developing solidity smart contracts on Ethereum, with tools such as Ganache and Truffle in his ever-growing repertoire, and is also interested in other prominent platforms like NEO. Kevin reads fantasy fiction and plays videogames whenever he is not hacking away on his keyboard.
