Finally, all you ever wanted to know about the legal, regulatory and Shariah aspects of tokenized Islamic bonds (sukuk) in one report!
We were invited to participate and give our views in this landmark research project, which is a collaboration of researchers from three Universities in Malaysia namely University Malaya (UM), International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) and International Centre for Education in Islamic Finance (INCEIF). Note: Malaysia is the largest sukuk market in the world and the top sukuk issuer, representing more than 45% of the world’s outstanding amount (Malaysia International Islamic Finance Centre).
You can download the final 134-page report from our LinkedIn page (click here), or on the UM Faculty of Law web page at https://law.um.edu.my/regtech.
This Blockchain Sukuk Report 2021 is a sophomore effort from the proficient UM team. Their Malaysian Blockchain Regulatory Report 2018, which we are also proud to be a part of, has gone on to become an authoritative guide for legal professionals and industry practitioners.
